MINUTES FROM THE PORT OF HOODSPORT ‘VOLUNTEER WORK PARTY’ FOR THE HOODSPORT TRAIL PARK & HOODSPORT HILLS DISC GOLF COURSE

Present: Commissioner Kincannon – Chairwoman / 2nd Trustee.
Commissioner Brazil – 2nd Chairman/Trustee
Commissioner Morris – Community liaison
S Lindgren – Facility maintenance supervisor
F McCullough – NW Land & Tree
Commissioner Kincannon said we set up tables, had clipboards with volunteer work party forms/waivers, eye protection, gloves, and small hand tools for volunteers. A water and snack station were set up. S Lindgren and F McCullough were onsite to direct and assist volunteers. I sat at the table waiting for volunteers to show up until 10.45am. Commissioner Brazil walked around the disc golf course. Commissioner Morris toured the trail park with S Lindgren on the UTV. Commissioner Brazil said the disc golf course was immaculate. Commissioner Morris was impressed by the final product of the trail park and disc golf course. Despite all efforts to market the event, unfortunately, no one showed up to volunteer to help with grooming trails or to talk about the Hoodsport Trail Park project, so we all agreed at 10:45am to pack everything up and we all left by 11am.
