K. Wyatt will follow up with the arrangements. Commissioner O’Laughlin delivered a copy of the Port of Hoodsport’s last study on their ‘Master Plan’ to Jan Morris who was present at the July 8th regular port commission meeting, he also showed Jan where there was parking behind the Landing Building that she may be able to rent from Jerry Esser, the owner of the Landing building enabling her customers to have additional parking. Commissioner O’Laughlin spoke to WSDOT last week and made arrangements to have WSDOT remove the overgrown vegetation along Highway 101 between the HCO Gas station and the clinic for safer public parking along the highway for the merchants’ customers in Hoodsport. K.Wyatt was present at the pre construction meeting with the WSDOT representative, the permits were approved and the onsite discussion of the plan was approved to move forward with the ‘access’ in to the Hoodsport trail park at the West end on both sides of State Route 119. K. Wyatt received a phone call from a lake Cushman resident who complained about a homeless woman with a bicycle whom they thought was living at the Hoodsport Trail Park. K. Wyatt contacted the Ports Maintenance director who had seen her there before and will make attempts to have her move on and get some assistance. K. Wyatt is still being approached to find out why there were no fireworks in Hoodsport and has made suggestions to everyone who inquires to spearhead an events committee which is what it will take to have any event in Hoodsport, so far people are too busy and there have been no takers.
