MINUTES FROM THE REGULAR COMMISSION MEETING
OF THE PORT OF HOODSPORT COMMISSION June 8, 2016

Approval of Agenda:
Commissioner Petz made a motion to approve the June 8, 2016 meeting agenda, Commissioner Brazil seconded, unanimously approved.

Minutes:
Commissioner Petz made a motion to approve the Regular Port Commission minutes of May 25, 2016; Commissioner Brazil seconded, unanimously approved.

Vouchers:
Commissioner Petz motioned to approve the following Vouchers for payment June 1of1 totaling $7,488.99 Commissioner Brazil seconded, unanimously approved.

Public Communication:

Port Maintenance Reports:

Hoodsport Marina, Dock & Waterfront Park: B. Osborne just received the hangars for the hanging flower baskets; they will be hung on the power poles this week. Waiting on a scheduled time from Knight Fire for a fire line pressure test. K. Wyatt will talk to the local fire chief and have them do a pressure test. B. Osborne will inspect all fire extinguishers.

Public Restrooms: Restrooms remain busy. The exhaust fans have been ordered and will be replaced

Hoodsport Trail Park: B. Osborne is repairing the kiosk and will mount the game camera with new cables.
Disc golfers are working on the disc golf baskets and trails.

Port Operations Manager Report:

K. Wyatt will be responding to RCO regarding the request to update the Port of Hoodsport’s comprehensive plan and discussion with the Washington Public Port Assn’s legal department to accept the Port’s Parks and Recreation Plan, Resolution 2016-01 as sufficient in the first step required by RCO to move forward in requesting public funding. The Port Commission selected Hood Canal Electric’s bid to install the EV Car Charging station, Commissioner Petz made a motion to accept the bid in the amount of $1,290.42; Commissioner Brazil seconded the motion, it was unanimously approved.The electrician will be notified, ready and standing by until the wall mount car charging station is received. The Economic Development council reminded the Port Commission they hold monthly meetings at different business locations and encourage members to attend. There was an additional invoice in the amount of $636.48 to pay for rental equipment in the disc golf development.

Budget:     May Port of Hoodsport Financial Statement has not been received yet
